For one woman with a brain tumor, quality care meant attending a weekly day-program for people facing advanced illnesses. She found compassionate companionship with others in her situation and looked forward to their regular activities together. Even when she became very disabled, the hospice palliative care day-program made it possible for her to attend the ballet with her group. She described it as the best day of her life.
